Following on from my last article, today I’ll introduce you to the most popular hairstyles worn by Harajuku boys. These are ideal for anyone who wants to incorporate their short hair into fairy kei.

☆ INTERVIEW ♡ Tavuchi of Spank!☆

Recently I was able to interview Tavuchi, the mastermind behind Spank! and the godmother of fairy kei fashion! She is known by fashion fans around the world, and has even designed costumes for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu♪
She runs a famous resale & remake store in Nakano Broadway called Spank!, which boasts a unique, 80's aesthetic. She has been running it for over 10 years, and it is thanks to Spank! that fairy kei was born.

I asked her fans for their questions on my blog, Fairy-Tips, before translating them into Japanese and sending them to Tavuchi for her to answer personally. There are tons of interesting questions on a variety of topics, so be sure to read the whole thing!

Boystyle fairy kei is becoming increasingly popular! Despite originating overseas, Japanese brands are releasing boyish items and there are more kawaii guys on the scene than ever, in and outside of Japan.

Today I’m going to post the first out of three Boyish Fairy kei articles; Basics, How To: Boyish Fairy Kei Hair, and Where To Find Boyish Items.

There are two styles of boyish fairy kei. One focuses on a more dreamy side with mostly cute aesthetics, while the other focuses on a more “masculine” and cool appearance. I will go into detail about both in this article!
