Following on from my post on
fairy kei motifs, I thought this time we could look at yumekawaii motifs! As mentioned before, yumekawa is an "aesthetic" more than an actual style. This means a lot of these motifs cross over into fairy kei territory too!
Sailor Collars:
Not only do these represent youth, but they're also always worn by your favourite magical girls! They add a cute 2.5D-ness to your coord, and come in all kinds of kawaii designs♡
Strawberry Milk:
Strawberry milk is sweet and of course, pink! The packaging always has a nostalgic, kawaii appearance that is loved by Japanese schoolgirls.
Magical Girls:
What is more dreamy-cute than a magical girl? Often people include mahou shoujo motifs in their yumekawa coords to create a magical, ethereal aesthetic! As mentioned earlier, often magical girls wear sailor collars... but what about when they're transformed? You need a cute weapon to complete the look ♡

Bunnies:
Bunnies are soft, fluffy and delicate - just like this yumekawa girl! Often yumekawaii coords are quite similar to bunnies, in that their aesthetic is quite soft and "fuwafuwa" ♥ Fluffy fabrics are popular in winter because they have a rabbit-like look to them! Plushies are also popular~
Angels:
Purity, angelic, with fluffy wings... Angels are perfect coord inspo! Wing motifs abundant in yumekawa, as are religious crosses. Heavenly clouds are also particularly popular.
Sky Motifs:
Following the angelic theme, sky motifs are also particularly popular! Stars, moons, galaxies, and dreamy cloudy skies... Little Twin Stars are perfect yumekawa icons ♡
♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
And that was just some of the most popular yumekawa motifs! Let me know which one is your favourite♪
See you next time!
